This Gigantic Printable Antique Family Tree is an INSTANT DIGITAL DOWNLOAD.
IS IT THE BIGGEST FAMILY TREE ART PRINT ON ALL OF ETSY?
I wouldn’t be surprised!
This “new antique” 5 generation family tree is seriously gigantic! If you are looking for something to fill a huge wall or make a statement over a big couch, this is the way to go. You can, of course, print it smaller, but the potential here is enormous. I wanted to create a more flexible kind of family tree than what I normally see, so in addition to the spaces for the first 5 generations, there is also room for your pets or children or major life events. There are blank boxes in each generation where you can fill in siblings or interesting historical notes. There is additional space in the roots for more generations. Frames along the side have room for favorite quotes or interesting factoids. There’s a place for a family motto, and much more! The edging of this old fashioned family tree is made in a way that it will look fantastic with two next to each other (one for you, and one for your partner’s family, for example). If you print it on matte paper, you could color it in, if you’re feeling particularly inspired.
Because this is a digital file, you can print it as many times as you like on paper or on canvas. With your purchase of this digital file, I include a tree with labels to show you how to write in your ancestors. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

This beautiful, printable genealogy chart comes with blank spaces so you can fill in the names on your family tree. Print it today, then fill in the blanks as you discover your heritage! It’s a gorgeous work of art, custom made and ready to turn into a family heirloom immediately. This is the perfect Christmas, Chanukah, Thanksgiving, retirement, a wedding or anniversary gift, and an excellent way to celebrate a new baby, also by giving this as a gift to the new grandmother and grandfather (who may even do the DNA and family history research for you)!
There is an area to add new children as they are born, and note important dates (births, deaths, etc.). If you look at the gallery above, you can see an example of where you can add your brothers and sisters. Most ancestry charts don’t have room for siblings, so this one is pretty special. If you have children, there’s an area at the very top where you can feature them, or other interesting notes relevant to your family’s journey. This is a stunning gift for historians, genealogy buffs or a newly married couple interested in family history. This beautiful genealogy chart comes blank and ready to turn into a family heirloom.
This image was adapted from one of my favorite scanned vintage documents, from the Rijks Museum in the Netherlands. The original etching was created between 1595 and 1633. I have altered a lot of it, and it has never been used as a family tree before, so you’re getting a unique family tree chart.
JUST HOW BIG CAN I PRINT THIS?
If you wanted to, you could print this so large that one name area could be the size of your hand!

HOW MANY GENERATIONS OF ANCESTORS WILL IT FIT?
5, 6…. and a bit more! There are frames for 70 names to be filled in! The size you print this ancestry poster, and the way you choose to enter information changes how many generations you can fit. This is a very flexible, customizable family tree chart! Because it is less structured than contemporary charts, this is a great tree for incorporating adoptive families and foster family members and god-parents, and even pets! There is a blank area at the bottom, so you can number the frames, and write in notes about relationships there. See the product images for an example of how to fill it in. The visual instructions also come with your purchase as a download.
HOW DO I FILL IT IN?
I’ve created a really simple tutorial on my blog, with step by step instructions and a cheat sheet you can download:
