Description
Family Tree art with the most insane level of details you’ve ever seen…
This Gargantuan, Printable, Antique Family Tree Pedigree Chart is an INSTANT DIGITAL DOWNLOAD.
I made it by digitally collating historic ephemera from very high-resolution scans.
It has so many uses:
1. ANTIQUE STYLE GUEST SIGN-IN BOARD FOR EVENTS
Use it as a free-form sign-in board for guests at weddings, parties, family reunions, bar and bat mitzvahs.
2. FAMILY TREE FOR UNUSUAL OR DIFFICULT TO RECORD FAMILIES
Most modern family tree art is really organized, with a specific number of boxes for moms, dads, grandpas, and grandmas. This free form family tree lets you include anyone you want! Just write people (or pets) in any box you like. You can number the boxes, and write out a numbered codex/list of who the people are in the blank space at the bottom. Got a foster family, and an adopted family, 5 moms, 1 potted plant, 13 dads, 2 uncles and aunts, and a parakeet named Rapunzel? No problem! There’s room for them all on this family tree!
3. READING LIST RECORD or CHART OF INTELLECTUAL INFLUENCES
Do you have serious reading goals this year? Every time you finish an incredible book, you can write the title and author into one of the spaces. When you fill all the boxes, you’ve met your goal! Use this poster as your own personal tree of knowledge!
4. THE BIGGEST COLORING PROJECT EVER
If you print this out on matte paper, you or your kids could color it in for hours!
5. WEDDING PARTY OR FAMILY REUNION GIFTS FOR NEW FAMILY MEMBERS
Print one out for every single person attending your life cycle event, roll these posters up and tie them with a beautiful ribbon. You’ve got instantly original family heirloom gifts for a hundred or more people, all for the price of one. This could be the last present you ever pay for, and it’s good for anyone who’s ever had a mother!
THIS PRODUCT IS A PRINTABLE, DIGITAL JPG FILE
with blank spaces so you can write in your own family’s information, by hand.
It is not fillable. It is a high-quality image file.
Maximum Dimensions (of course you can print it smaller if you like):
5,374 x 7,334 pixels
74.64 x 101.86 inches
72 pixels per inch
file size: 15.6 MB
There is an area to add new children as they are born, and note important dates (births, deaths, etc.). If you look at the gallery above, you can see an example of where you can add your brothers and sisters. Most ancestry charts don’t have room for siblings, so this one is pretty special. If you have children, there’s an area at the very top where you can feature them, or other interesting notes relevant to your family’s journey. This is a stunning gift for historians, genealogy buffs or a newly married couple interested in family history. This beautiful genealogy chart comes blank and ready to turn into a family heirloom.
This image was adapted from one of my favorite scanned vintage documents, from the Rijks Museum in the Netherlands. The original etching was created between 1595 and 1633. I have altered a lot of it, and it has never been used as a family tree before, so you’re getting a unique family tree chart.
Because this is a digital file, you can print it as many times as you like on paper or on canvas. With your purchase of this digital file, I include a sample tree with labels to show you how to write in your ancestors. You can do this in many ways, but I wanted you to have one example. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me anytime.
JUST HOW BIG CAN I PRINT THIS?
If you wanted to, you could print this so large that one name area could be the size of your hand!
HOW MANY GENERATIONS OF ANCESTORS WILL IT FIT?
5, 6…. and a bit more! There are frames for 70 names to be filled in! The size you print this ancestry poster, and the way you choose to enter information changes how many generations you can fit. This is a very flexible, customizable family tree chart! Because it is less structured than contemporary charts, this is a great tree for incorporating adoptive families and foster family members and god-parents, and even pets! There is a blank area at the bottom, so you can number the frames, and write in notes about relationships there. See the product images for an example of how to fill it in. The visual instructions also come with your purchase as a download.
