If you only want to document the lineage on one of their family trees, write both of their names in the central circle. If you want to trace both of their pedigree lines, start with their children in the central circle.

The fan chart displays ten generations of lineage. Beneath the chart, the branches can be used to write in their children and grandchildren. See the photos for an example. At full resolution: up to 28.307″ wide x 20.76 inches tall (prints at 300 PPI)
As you go bigger from there, the image will be slightly less crisp.
You can print it larger at good quality, up to 3 x 4 feet tall, if you have the wall space.

(To give you a sense of size, 72 PPI is considered ‘average’. 300 PPI is in the ‘very, very good’ range.)

To document the family line of a single parent, write their name in the main circle at the center of the tree. This print has room for 10 generations of ancestors in the fan chart and a place where you can write in 2 generations of descendants (children and grandchildren). In this case, it shows 12 generations. 10 of ancestors, and 2 of descendants.

TO USE THIS LINEAGE FAN CHART FOR A COUPLE:
To document the family lines of both parents, put their children in the central circle, then the area below the tree will be for writing in grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In this case, it also shows 12 generations. 10 of ancestors, and 2 of descendants. The difference is that the lowest branches in this example are for great-grandchildren.
